Before You Book

Important Information Before You Book

Migration Timing

Mara River Crossings (July–October)

The herds gather in the Northern Serengeti near the Mara River. Dramatic river crossings — wildebeest and zebras crossing crocodile-infested waters. Peak activity: August–September.

Calving Season (December–April)

The herds move south to the Ndutu area. Over 8,000 young wildebeest born daily during peak (January–February). Predator hunts are frequent as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas target the newborns.

Transition Months (May–June, November)

Herds are in transition between north and south. Game viewing still excellent in Central Serengeti, though river crossings and calving less likely.
