Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, where your private safari guide will be waiting to welcome you. Drive: Depart Arusha in your private 4x4 safari vehicle and drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2 hours | 120 km) for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.
Wildlife: Known as the kingdom of the elephants, Tarangire is famous for its ancient Baobab trees, vast elephant herds, and diverse wildlife. Bird life is exceptional with 550+ species including flamingos at the soda lakes.
Drive: After breakfast, journey toward Serengeti National Park (approx. 4 hours | 220 km), passing through breathtaking landscapes and endless plains.
Afternoon game drive: Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Central Serengeti (Seronera area), one of Africa's richest wildlife regions. The Seronera River Valley is renowned for its year-round water source supporting resident populations of lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
Full-day game drives: Spend the day on extensive game drives in the heart of the Serengeti. Track lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebra.
Optional balloon safari: A hot air balloon safari is available at dawn ($550–$650 per person) for breathtaking aerial views over the Serengeti, followed by a champagne bush breakfast.
Morning game drive: Enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti before departing toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Transfer: Travel through scenic highlands and arrive near the crater rim (approx. 3 hours | 180 km) for dinner and overnight. The views from the crater rim at sunset are among the most spectacular panoramas in Africa.
Crater descent: Descend 600 meters into the world's largest intact volcanic caldera — a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
